advocacy project dedicated to creating a consumer pledge to not purchase
a new automobile unless it is a ZERO EMISSION vehicle. Every
second that auto manufacturers drag their feet with insignificant gas
mileage improvements, results in YEARS of continued reliance on oil
while pushing our planet closer to ecological disaster.

As a consumer your money and buying power is the single
most important factor in shaping our future. By collectively working
together, citizens everywhere can make the vision of having clean and
affordable automobile transportation a reality in the immediate future.
Zero Emission Pledge is a campaign to raise the stakes
for auto manufacturers – even a small decline in sales will result
in significant revenue loss. It may be only through economic incentives
that auto companies will begin real, sincere efforts to develop and
market zero emission vehicles TODAY.
By taking part in the Zero Emission Pledge you are sending
a powerful message to the auto manufacturers that they WILL listen to.
Taking the Pledge means you will commit to not purchase a new vehicle
unless it is zero emission or near pollution-free. Your pledge will
